Hi, I'm Amy

As a young teen, I began volunteering with a non-profit disability support organisation to complete a community service placement. What started as a requirement quickly became a calling.

Before long, my Friday nights and weekends were filled with activities, camps, and social events supporting children with disabilities. Throughout my teens and school holidays, I immersed myself in this work — not because I had to, but because I genuinely loved it. I had found my passion.

I later became a paid support worker and stepped into recreation and program leadership roles, designing and facilitating camps and activities that fostered connection, confidence, and independence.

I went on to complete my Bachelor of Primary Education at Australian Catholic University and began my teaching career in a Special Development School. It was here that my two passions truly came together — my love for supporting others and my belief in the power of learning. Throughout my teaching journey, I worked across both mainstream and specialist education settings, gaining deep insight into diverse learning needs and inclusive practice.

But over the years, I saw something more.

- I saw parents navigating complex systems.
- I saw families advocating tirelessly.
- I saw the emotional weight that comes with trying to ensure your child is understood, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.

There is a desperate need not only to support children — but to support parents through the journey of helping their child navigate the world.

That realisation changed everything.

So I made the decision to step forward with clarity and courage and create Soar Together — an inclusive community built on expertise, compassion, and action. A space that provides personalised support for children, practical guidance for families, and high-quality educational resources for support workers and educators.

Soar Together exists to make the world more accessible — but also to make the journey less overwhelming for families. I am deeply committed to walking alongside parents with confidence, clarity, and genuine partnership.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

And your child deserves every opportunity to soar.

"At Soar Together, we believe in the power of shared stories.

In the quiet moments when someone is struggling—feeling isolated, unseen, or unheard—your words could be the light that helps them hold on."
